About the role:
The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for building and scaling the engine that fuels our sales pipeline. This is a fast-paced role designed for a builder who is obsessed with demand generation, lead quality, and full-funnel conversion. You will be the bridge between Marketing and Sales, tasked with creating repeatable systems that turn our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) into highly qualified opportunities. From architecting automated nurture sequences to event management to partnering with Account Executives on precision outreach, you will ensure that our brand is not just visible, but indispensable to our future partners. This is a role for a data-informed executor who can diagnose funnel friction and deploy creative solutions to solve it. This role reports to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Demand Generation: Build and manage repeatable demand generation systems that ensure a steady stream of interest from our ICP. Strategize and execute multi-channel campaigns, including events (like webinars and conferences), to ensure high visibility within target regions and topics.
  • Scoring Optimization: Own the definition and delivery of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs). Develop and maintain a clean, accessible lead scoring system within HubSpot and Salesforce to ensure contacts are routed to the right campaigns and sales reps at the optimal time. Continuously refine lead criteria based on sales feedback and conversion data.
  • Automated Nurture: Transform our existing database into a revenue engine. Design, build, and optimize automated, highly segmented nurture sequences that provide continuous value. Ensure we stay top-of-mind for prospects not yet in a buying window, positioning our company as the primary choice when that window opens.
  • Expansion & LTV Maximization: Partner with Customer Success and Sales to identify expansion opportunities within our current partner base. Execute targeted communications and customer-marketing initiatives that drive upsells, renewals, and increased Lifetime Value (LTV).
  • Tech Stack: Leverage HubSpot, Salesforce, and Gong to execute and analyze outreach. Use Gong to analyze prospect sentiment and market objections, using those insights to refine messaging in real-time. Ensure all data is accurately maintained to provide a single source of truth for the revenue team.
  • Data-Driven Iteration: Regularly analyze outreach data and funnel metrics to diagnose inefficiencies. You will be expected to propose and execute course corrections based on what the data shows is (or isn't) working, moving from hypothesis to execution with speed.
Job Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in Sales Development (SDR/BDR) or Demand Generation, specifically within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Exceptional Copywriting: A proven ability to write conversion-oriented copy that feels human, professional, and aligned with a specific brand voice.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience building workflows and managing data within HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • Problem-Solving and Collaborative Mindset: A self-starter who doesn’t wait for a playbook; you have a track record of diagnosing funnel gaps, working collaboratively, and initiating ownership to build the "fix."
  • Data Literacy: Comfortable using data to tell a story and make decisions; experience with Gong (or similar conversation intelligence tools) is highly preferred.
  • AI Fluency: Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate research, content ideation, and initial copy drafting.
  • Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Market Awareness: Understanding of the higher education landscape, including institutional priorities, buying cycles, and decision-maker personas.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Domain Expertise: A passion for higher education and the ability to speak knowledgeably about student success and institutional pain points.
  • SDR-to-Marketing Background: Experience transitioning from a high-volume outbound sales role into a strategic marketing role is a significant plus.
  • Scrappiness: Comfort working in a fast-paced, start-up environment with no playbooks, where you are both the strategist and the person clicking the "send" button.
Benefits:
  • 100% remote company
  • 5 Medical plans - all PPO plans
  • 1 Medical plan option is 100% employer-covered (employee-only tier)
  • 5 Dental/Vision plans
  • HSA, FSA, Dependent FSA options
  • Talkspace mental health therapy covered at no cost to the employee
  • Annual travel benefits to seek out-of-state care from specialists for reproductive and gender-affirming care
